Managing OSHA logs on paper is a liability.

OSHA recordkeeping violations are among the most cited every year. One mistake on a spreadsheet can cost your business thousands.

$16,550+ Penalties

That's the maximum penalty per "Other-than-Serious" recordkeeping violation in 2026. Willful violations can reach $165,514.

Spreadsheet Chaos

Manual data entry leads to miscalculated DART and TRIR rates, missing 301 forms, and incomplete 300 logs.

Missed Deadlines

7 days to record an incident. Feb 1st to post the 300A. March 2nd for electronic submission. It's too much to track manually.

Compliance made foolproof.

LogStead replaces guesswork with a guided workflow. If you can answer simple yes/no questions, you can maintain perfect OSHA logs.

1

Log the incident

Answer plain-English questions in our Recordability Wizard to determine if the case goes on the log.

2

Auto-generate forms

LogStead instantly creates your Form 301, updates the 300 Log, and calculates your 300A summary totals.

3

Export and file

Print your 300A for posting, or download the exact CSV format required for OSHA's Injury Tracking Application (ITA).

Spreadsheet vs. LogStead.

You can keep your 300 log in Excel. It just costs more than $39/month when it goes wrong.

Spreadsheet

  • Look up 29 CFR 1904 every time you wonder if a case is recordable
  • Hand-calculate DART and TRIR — pray the formula didn’t break
  • 300A posting deadline lives in someone’s calendar (until they leave)
  • Reformat data manually for OSHA’s ITA submission portal
  • Audit defense: a folder of PDFs and crossed fingers

LogStead

  • Guided wizard walks you through recordability in plain English
  • DART and TRIR calculated automatically from hours and case data
  • Deadlines tracked and surfaced before the 7-day window closes
  • One-click CSV export in the exact format ITA expects
  • 5 years of immutable audit trail, ready for an OSHA inspector

Everything you need for perfect recordkeeping.

Automated Rates

Instantly calculate your DART and TRIR rates based on hours worked and incident data.

Multi-Establishment

Manage separate 300 logs for multiple physical locations from a single dashboard.

ITA Electronic Filing

Generate the exact CSV file required by OSHA's electronic submission portal.

Print-Ready Forms

Export pixel-perfect PDFs of Forms 300, 300A, and 301 for your physical records.

Deadline Tracking

Never miss the 7-day recording window or the Feb 1st posting deadline again.

Audit Ready

Keep 5 years of historical logs securely stored and instantly accessible if an inspector arrives.

Built for sensitive employee data.

Injury records contain medical and personal information. We treat them that way.

Encrypted end to end

TLS 1.3 in transit. AES-256 encryption at rest on managed Postgres. No employee data ever travels in plaintext.

Tenant-isolated storage

Row-level security enforces organization boundaries at the database, not just the app. Another customer cannot read your data even if our application code has a bug.

5-year immutable audit log

Every create, update, and export is logged with user, timestamp, and entity. The audit log is append-only — even an admin cannot rewrite history.

Questions, before you sign up.

Is LogStead a replacement for OSHA’s ITA portal?

No. OSHA requires covered employers to submit 300A data through their Injury Tracking Application (ITA). LogStead generates the exact CSV file that ITA accepts so you can upload it in a few clicks instead of reformatting data by hand.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You keep full export access through the end of your billing period: PDF copies of Forms 300, 300A, and 301, plus CSV exports of every incident. We retain your data for 30 days after cancellation in case you reactivate, then delete it.

Can I pay annually instead of monthly?

Yes. Every plan offers annual billing at 10× the monthly price — so you get two months free versus paying month to month. Toggle "Annual" on the pricing section to see each plan's yearly price. Both options include the same 14-day free trial.

How many people on my team can use one account?

Starter includes 3 team members, Professional includes 10, and Business is unlimited. Pending invitations count against the limit. Permissions are role-based (owner, admin, manager, viewer).

How does the recordability wizard handle gray areas?

The wizard follows the criteria in 29 CFR 1904.4 through 1904.7. For genuinely ambiguous cases (for example, "is this medical treatment or first aid?"), it asks the specific sub-question the regulation hinges on and cites the rule in the result. It is not legal advice — it is a structured walkthrough of the same checklist a safety manager would use.

Is employee injury data secure?

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Row-level security enforces organization isolation at the database layer, so a misconfigured application request cannot return another customer’s records. Every write is recorded in an append-only audit log.

Can I manage multiple establishments from one account?

Yes. Each establishment gets its own 300 log, 300A summary, and ITA submission, but you manage all of them from one dashboard. Starter is single-establishment; Professional supports up to 5; Business is unlimited.

What if OSHA changes the forms or the rules?

We update the forms and the recordability logic when OSHA publishes changes. Penalty figures shown in the app reflect the most recent OSHA adjustments. You don’t need to do anything.

Can I import my existing 300 log from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload a CSV of your existing 300 log, match your columns, and LogStead validates every row with the same rules as manual entry — flagging problems and possible duplicates before anything is saved. Imported cases land as drafts for your review. If you get stuck, email support@logstead.app and we’ll help.
